Completed during one of the most challenging periods in recent history, the renovation required balancing changing workforce expectations, supply chain disruptions, and ambitious sustainability goals, all while maintaining business continuity. Like many organizations navigating post-pandemic uncertainty, JLL faced a critical question: What kind of workplace would employees want to return to? The company understood that the office needed to become more than a place to work. It needed to serve as a destination that fostered collaboration, innovation, and connection while reflecting JLL's commitment to sustainability and employee experience.
Their goals were clear:
Attract and retain top talent in a competitive market.
Create an environment that supports employee wellness and productivity.
Enable seamless collaboration between in-office, remote, and hybrid team members.
Strengthen brand presence through a workplace experience that reflects JLL's culture and values.
Achieving this vision came with significant obstacles. The project launched during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, when supply chain disruptions and material shortages created constant uncertainty. The renovation required a phased installation across multiple floors, demanding careful coordination to minimize disruption and maintain project momentum. At the same time, JLL was evaluating its long-term workplace strategy. As organizations everywhere debated the future of work, the company needed a workplace capable of supporting both full-time office attendance and hybrid work models without sacrificing employee experience.
The challenge wasn't simply renovating an office; it was creating a workplace flexible enough to evolve alongside changing business needs. To help bring this vision to life, JLL partnered with Corporate Environments as a trusted guide throughout the planning and implementation process. Rather than focusing solely on furniture selection, Corporate Environments approached the project through the lens of workplace performance and employee experience. Through extensive visioning sessions, workplace strategy discussions, space planning exercises, test fits, and stakeholder reviews, the team worked to ensure every decision aligned with JLL's business objectives.
The process remained centered on one guiding principle: creating an environment that supports people first. By balancing functionality, wellness, flexibility, and aesthetics, Corporate Environments helped JLL develop a workplace strategy capable of delivering long-term value.
Successful transformation required close collaboration among multiple partners. Working alongside design partner ASD|SKY, the project team leveraged a collaborative design process to evaluate solutions, test concepts, and refine the workplace experience. Together, the team aligned every aspect of the project around JLL's vision for employee engagement, workplace flexibility, and organizational growth.
This partnership-driven approach ensured that project decisions supported both immediate operational needs and long-term business goals. The completed Atlanta office reflects JLL's commitment to creating a workplace that supports both business performance and employee well-being.
The redesigned environment incorporates biophilic elements throughout the workspace, creating a more welcoming atmosphere while supporting employee comfort and satisfaction. Flexible work settings allow employees to choose how and where they work based on their tasks and collaboration needs.
Technology-enabled conference rooms and training spaces provide seamless connectivity for in-person, remote, and hybrid participants, empowering teams to collaborate effectively regardless of location. These spaces also support client meetings, workshops, and learning opportunities that strengthen both internal culture and external relationships. Most importantly, the workplace was designed to adapt. Whether supporting a traditional in-office model or a hybrid workforce, JLL now has an environment capable of evolving alongside future business needs.
The Atlanta office transformation delivered measurable value beyond aesthetics:
Enhanced employee experience through wellness-focused workplace design.
Improved ability to attract and retain talent in a competitive labor market.
Greater flexibility to support evolving workplace strategies and hybrid work models.
Increased collaboration through technology-enabled meeting and training environments.
Strengthened brand presence by creating a workplace that reflects JLL's culture and values.
Advanced sustainability goals through planning and workplace design decisions.
Future-ready infrastructure capable of adapting to changing workforce expectations.
By investing in a workplace designed around people, flexibility, and performance, JLL successfully transformed its Atlanta office into a strategic asset, one that supports employees today while preparing the organization for the future of work.
