One of the challenges faced was the installation timeline; this project kicked off during the height of the pandemic. This was a phased installation spanning multiple floors, and due to supply chain issues, there were various material delays to balance. In addition to working on a tight timeline, JLL was testing the work model of whether to bring the workforce back to a five-day in-office model or adopt a hybrid one. Meeting staff needs by providing Knoll Anchor workstations with built-in Antenna planters, and extra biophilia, was a prerequisite for JLL’s employee satisfaction and productivity. The addition of biophilia design would bring comfort, improve air quality, and create a natural atmosphere for JLL’s current employees. Not only was staff wellness a major consideration, but the ability to provide high-tech meeting areas to hold onsite, hybrid, and online meetings was a necessity. Based on those expectations, our team created conference spaces and training centers where workshops could be held with both internal and external participants. With the collaboration of MillerKnoll and ASD, increasing the comfort of current staff and attracting new talent into the office will continue to be the driver of JLL’s renovation approach and end result.
