High-Impact Design for High-Traffic Venues

Corporate Environments was selected to design all public concourses and amenity areas of the Savannah Convention Center facility—totaling over 300,000 sq. ft. of space. As a high-traffic venue that hosts international conferences, trade shows, corporate retreats, sporting events, and family expos, the client needed durable, design-forward furniture that could accommodate a diverse range of guests—spanning all ages and event types—while maintaining an elevated, cohesive aesthetic.

Our design team curated a high-performance furniture package that balanced aesthetics, flexibility, and durability. We used cohesive finishes and flowing color palettes to differentiate café areas, lounges, executive zones, and collaboration spaces—while maintaining a unified visual experience across the venue. We optimized the incredible river- and city-scape views on the south and east sides of the building; both floors have panoramic views of Savannah’s iconic River Street, City Hall, and the Georgia Ports to the west. On the East and north sides of the building, the views are of Savannah’s marshlands and Eastern Wharf, the area’s newest developments. With our curated furniture vignettes, we created work areas--cafe and standard height mixed (ADA) with power and data access, community seating areas for groups or individuals that include movable tables and ottomans/poufs for multiple uses and configurations.

Multi-use zones: Workspaces included cafe and standard-height tables with power and data access, moveable ottomans and poufs for reconfigurability, and a variety of lounge styles for all guest types.
Zoom Rooms: The client wanted semi-private, quiet spaces that didn’t feel too enclosed. Our team proposed Global’s Evolve product to create sleek, functional Zoom Rooms—offering privacy without isolation. The result exceeded expectations from rendering to installation.
Visual Continuity with Functionality: We kept our vendor family tight to streamline coordination and ensure visual consistency, using varied fabrics and finishes to differentiate spaces while maintaining harmony
