PIEDMONT EASTSIDE HOSPITAL
PIEDMONT EASTSIDE HOSPITAL: A PATIENT-CENTERED EXPERIENCE
Piedmont Eastside Hospital wanted to transform its main lobby into a space that better reflected the level of care delivered within its walls. The existing environment felt outdated and no longer aligned with the welcoming, patient-centered experience the hospital strives to provide.
The goal of the lobby renovation was to create a functional, expanded, and updated front-of-house space that felt modern, fresh, and hospitable. As a high-traffic healthcare environment, the lobby needed to balance durability and performance with comfort and warmth, ensuring visitors felt supported from the moment they arrived.
Partnering with Levino Jones, Corporate Environments supported finish selections and furniture coordination to ensure a cohesive aesthetic that complemented the architectural vision. Every selection was made with healthcare functionality in mind while introducing a refreshed, welcoming atmosphere.
With so many moving parts involved in every project, challenges are bound to occur. One of those key challenges arose during installation. A manufacturer produced the incorrect size plinth base for the modular seating, decreasing the seat height by two inches. In a healthcare setting, proper seat height is critical for accessibility, comfort, and safety. Knowing the importance of accuracy in healthcare spaces, Corporate Environments quickly collaborated with the manufacturer to diagnose the issue and implement a solution. Within three weeks, new plinth bases were reproduced and installed after business hours to avoid disrupting hospital operations. The seating was restored to the intended height, ensuring both compliance and user comfort.
The completed renovation delivers a space that feels modern yet approachable—an environment designed to ease stress and create a positive first impression. Clean lines, thoughtful finishes, and comfortable seating now define the main entry, reinforcing the hospital’s commitment to care and hospitality.
This project didn’t just update an important public space — it also built the start of a strong working relationship. By staying responsive, solving issues quickly, and paying close attention to the details, Corporate Environments helped turn the lobby into a warm, welcoming space for patients, families, and staff from the moment they walk in.
