A sPACE WITH A MISSION
Meals on Wheels Atlanta serves more than 1,800 meals each day throughout Atlanta so when they needed to reimagine their office space that hosts tours as well as houses an event space, a high-end but durable solution was critical to a successful solution.
When Corporate Environments was engaged to take on this project, there were several unique approaches taken to ensure that the project not only came in on budget, but also elevated their space both from a visual and functional standpoint. Several items were donated from Corporate Environment’s existing inventory which assisted in remaining on budget while allowing CE to play a small part in the mission of Meals on Wheels - the support senior independence through meals, shelter, education, and community.
When considering the needs of the pantry shelving, a different solution was presented than originally planned - swapping out traditional wooden shelves with a higher quality butcher block option from Iron Age products. This enhanced solution meant that the shelves could be sanded and refinished to extend the life of the shelves and create more value from their investment.
