Atlanta Braves Delta SKY360 Club: Creating a Premium Fan Experience Before Opening Day

Year: 2022 | Location: Atlanta | Partners: Populous

When the Atlanta Braves set out to enhance the premium guest experience inside the Delta SKY360 Club at Truist Park, they faced a significant challenge: complete a 17,000+ square-foot transformation amid supply chain disruptions and tight project deadlines before Opening Day. Through strategic planning, creative problem-solving, and close collaboration, the project team delivered a flexible, high-capacity hospitality environment that elevated the fan experience while maintaining budget and schedule goals.

The result is a dynamic VIP destination designed to maximize occupancy, support a wide variety of events, and create memorable experiences for Braves fans and corporate guests alike. By balancing speed, flexibility, and operational efficiency, the project successfully transformed a critical hospitality space into a year-round business asset.

For the Atlanta Braves, the Delta SKY360 Club plays an important role in delivering a first-class experience for premium ticket holders, sponsors, and event guests. As demand for elevated hospitality environments continued to grow, the organization recognized an opportunity to modernize the club and create a more versatile destination within Truist Park.

The project needed to be completed before the Braves' home opener, leaving little margin for delays. At the same time, widespread supply chain shortages and extended manufacturing lead times threatened project schedules across the industry. The organization also needed to maximize the use of its budget while creating a space capable of supporting a variety of functions beyond game days.

The new environment needed to:

  • Accommodate larger guest volumes while maintaining comfort and flow.

  • Support multiple event formats through flexible space planning.

  • Deliver a premium hospitality experience aligned with the Braves brand.

  • Meet an aggressive completion schedule despite supply chain challenges.

  • Optimize project spending without sacrificing quality or functionality.

To help navigate these challenges, the Atlanta Braves partnered with Corporate Environments, bringing expertise in workplace and hospitality environments, project management, procurement strategy, and installation execution. Rather than allowing supply chain uncertainty to jeopardize the schedule, Corporate Environments developed a proactive sourcing strategy focused primarily on American-made solutions with shorter lead times. The team also conducted an inventory assessment of existing assets that could be repurposed, helping reduce costs while accelerating delivery.

Working closely with project stakeholders, Corporate Environments aligned every decision around three critical objectives:

  • Meeting the Opening Day deadline.

  • Maximizing operational flexibility.

  • Delivering the highest value within budget constraints.

Success required close coordination among all project partners. Architectural firm Populous worked alongside Corporate Environments and the Atlanta Braves to create an environment centered on how guests move, gather, dine, and interact throughout the space. Every design decision was evaluated through the lens of occupancy, functionality, and guest experience.

Together, the team developed a hospitality environment that could seamlessly transition between game-day operations, corporate events, private functions, and social gatherings. Flexible space planning and adaptable furnishings allow staff to quickly reconfigure the club to support changing event requirements, maximizing utilization throughout the year.

This collaborative approach ensured design intent, operational goals, and project execution remained aligned from concept through completion. Completed in 2022, the Delta SKY360 Club now serves as a vibrant, flexible hospitality destination spanning more than 17,000 square feet inside Truist Park.

The redesigned environment supports a variety of seating, dining, networking, and social experiences while improving traffic flow and maximizing occupancy throughout the venue. Flexible layouts enable the space to adapt quickly to different event formats, allowing the Braves organization to expand its hosting capabilities and improve operational efficiency.

Key outcomes include:

  • Successful project completion ahead of the Braves' home opener.

  • Mitigation of supply chain risks through strategic sourcing and procurement.

  • Budget optimization through the reuse of existing assets where appropriate.

  • Increased flexibility to support multiple event types and revenue-generating opportunities.

  • Enhanced premium guest experiences that strengthen fan engagement and sponsor relationships.

  • Improved space utilization across a high-profile hospitality environment.

Today, the Delta SKY360 Club reflects the Atlanta Braves' commitment to delivering exceptional experiences for fans, partners, and guests. What began as a race against time became a strategic transformation that balanced schedule, budget, and performance objectives.

By partnering with Corporate Environments and Populous, the Braves successfully created a flexible hospitality destination that supports business goals year-round while elevating the premium experience that fans expect from one of Major League Baseball's premier organizations.
